My name is Becca and I’m a recent graduate of Spring Arbor University. After graduating I received the much anticipated question, “So what are you doing now?” My response: “No clue! Isn’t that exciting?” Well as exciting as it is not knowing, I must admit that (now) knowing is pretty great, too. I’m heading to California in a few short days to begin a job, a career, a vocation, a ministry–I’m going to be a Resident Director! Translated for those who are unfamiliar with this terminology, I’m going to live on a college campus for the purpose of mentoring students, helping them become better leaders and followers of Christ, and proactively promoting healthy community. A dream come true.
I’ve lived my whole life in the beautiful Southern Michigan, and as a result there are many people there that I love to pieces. Sometimes it can be a painful thing to have numerous places you call home, because although you can feel happy and safe in any of those places, a piece of you always misses the other homes. I’ve decided, though, that I’d much rather have too many homes than too few. So yes, I’ll miss all my “homes” in Michigan, but I have full confidence that California will be another beautiful place to grow.
Missin You!!
